Siddharth Biju
BT | 2023 | MS
Hey! I'm Siddharth, a fifth year undergraduate. I'm originally from Kerala but grew up in Bangalore (the typical blore born and brought up mallu, we are a whole stereotype now). I guess I am what you'd call the more "quiet type", takes time to open up/talk to new people. Took all my 5 years at kgp to figure out how to engage in small talk, and I'm still bad at it. xD In terms of work, my interests mostly revolve around finance, machine learning and AI. (The BT side of me still has a soft spot for ML/DL applications in healthcare and biology) In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching football, discovering new music, reading (sci-fi and fantasy) and planning out the craziest trips that never end up happening T-T
L’s Taken
1
Regrets I Have
- Whatever happened, happened. No regrets, we move.
3
Everyday L's Of Life
- Always just missing out on breakfast (only on the good days as well)
- Taking a toto outside campus that we later realise only accepts cash (No-one ever has cash)
- Registering at the gymk gym at the beginning of every sem to just go for one day :'(
On the Bright Side
3
Things I'm Proud Of That You Won't See on a Resume
- I have significantly improved my fashion sense in these five years (my friends will vouch for this xD)
- I have made a conscious effort to be more available to my close friends and also, have the courage to talk to them when don't feel right (I pick up calls half the time now instead of never)
- Proud of the friend circle I have made on campus; personally, I never really thought I'd vibe with such an incredible group of people and share all those memories when I came here as a fresher (too much?)

Small Joys and Memories I Cherish
- Playing football in the evenings at TATA (with the sunset in the backdrop) or late at night in the Hall, be it with the Hall team for GC practice or just casually with the lads. Always the best times :')
- Having coffee from the Nescafe outside Nalanda after the 5-6 class, just enjoying those crazy pretty sunsets.
- The quiet, rainy days, where you'd open the balcony door, put on some chill music on the speakers and just lie back in the bed and watch the rain and the skies.
3
Things I Am Looking Forward to in the Future
- Living a completely different city for the first time, meeting new people and travelling to new places
- Learning to balance between work and keeping time for the old hobbies, adapting to new lifestyles
- Making money (this is the only one that matters tbh)
2
Advices That Have Made a Significant Impact
- Don't assume that you can work hard and "hustle" till some point after which life becomes easy. It never get's easy, so live in the present, in the now, and make the most out of everything that you got now.
- You tend to be at your best when your back is against the wall, when you're well out of your comfort zone
2
Things I Want to Get Better at
- Time Management: One thing I can always get better at, never been a fan of planning out my various commitments and assigning priorities, but overtime, I have come to learn how helpful it can actually be
- Learning to enjoy actually going out and doing activities alone. We always have a ton of group activities going on, but taking the time to do things on your own can be very exciting as well (more solo trips, more doing wild shit spontaneously without telling anyone xD)
7
Tv Shows, Movies, and Books I've Enjoyed
- [Book Series] Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson (probably one of my all-time favourites from the fantasy genre)
- [Book Series] All the Tintin comics (of course xD)
- [TV Show] Love, Death & Robots (Sci-Fi)
- [TV Show] Fleabag (Comedy)
- [TV Show] Blackbird (Crime)
- [Movies] Dunkirk, Rush, Interstellar (Cliché ik but they're soo good)
- [Movies] Also a huge fan of all the James Bond movies
